The love and happiness that our kids share here at Vangrace Compassion Orphanage is so hilarious. Caring not about what they have gone through, still they grasp every opportunity they get to read, play and eating their little meals they are provided with as a way of being happy and also to interact with each other. Above all they do all that with smiles on their faces.
THEIR DREAM IS TO BECOME PASTORS TO ALL NATIONS.
These are one of our amazing children at Vangrace Compassion Orphanage that God blessed with Divine Callings and gifts. They love God and they say that even during their best moment they tell others about the goodness of God here at Vangrace Compassion Ministries- Church (God's Village) despite the challenges they are all going through here at the Orphanage. Now they are preaching to their fellow orphans to trust God in all.
One gives a testimony that as "he had no hope of being loved /cared for and on streets and no one cared for his life , no education" Until when Papa Ivan picked him up and brought him to God's Village where he learnt to lift his Faith and trusted in God . Now thanks to Pastor Ivan Ssewankambo who is now taking care of him and educating him. He says that he still believes that everyday God is doing great things in his life.
Psalm 16:1 (KJV)
16 Preserve me, O God: for in thee do I put my trust.
Christ the Healer
With just one touch from his Almighty creative hand, He has healed the sick and raised the dead. How amazing is His Lordship over all the earth, how powerful is his redeeming love. How great was his sacrifice for our sake and bring forgiveness and hope to us all that believe in him. By his stripes we ask for healing and we are healed. Standing within His reign and rule we ask for restoration. May life and wellness grow in fullness until it overflows.
Our Father of mercies and God of all comfort, our only help in time of need:
Run to him in time of your need and confusion. He will show you mercy/ healing, and comfort you with a sense of His goodness. He will preserve you from the temptations of your enemy and give you patience under your affliction. He will restore you to health so that you may live without fear. Let him dwell within your life.
Isaiah 53:5 (KJV)
5 But he was wounded for our transgressions; he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed.
THE HIGH LEVEL OF VULNERABILITY IN RURAL AREAS OF AFRICA.
In Africa most of the people in the rural areas are experiencing a high level of vulnerability. As well, it is the same problem we face here at Vangrace Compassion Orphanage. Children have very humble back grounds of which some didn’t even get a chance to see their parents who died of Aids. After they were left alone with no body to help. This is why we choose to give the support we can to these very orphans vulnerable children. In this they lack the basic necessities of like clothes, medication, scholastic materials and proper shelter. We think that sponsorship for each child can be a suitable solution to respond to this problem.
CHILDREN CLEANING THE COMPOUND AT GOD’S VILLAGE
Children participating in general cleaning of the compound so as to remove the rubbish and grass. The little ones are collecting the rubbish while others are sweeping.
Fear Not but Trust In His Love
Your heart and mind are flooded with fears. Sometimes you are paralysed, you feel unable to go on. These fears are overwhelming; they remain with you day and night. Yet you hold onto God’s truth. He has told you not to fear, for you have overcome the world. So cling to God, trust in his promises, that he will never fail you, and never forsake you. In moments of such crippling fear. Choose to trust him for he has experienced the most fearful places, believe that he rose again. In him all promises meet and new life begins. He is our saviour, we hide in him, and we are protected by his love and sheltered by his grace. He is our father indeed.
2 Timothy 1:7 (KJV)
7 For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.
Isaiah 41:10 (KJV)
10 Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness.
Children Enjoying Sports at God’s Village Foster Homes.
Children at Vangrace compassion orphanage playing football and they have divided themselves in to two groups. They are using a ball they made from polythen bags and banana fibers. It is a very happy moment for them and they enjoy it despite of the fact that they lack playing equipments.
DEVOTA NDAYISHABA YET TO FINISH HER PRIMARY AND NEEDS MORE SUPPORT FOR SECONDARY EDUCATION
Devota Ndayishaba one of our children at Vangrace Compassion Orphanage. She is an orphan who lost her parents and later joined God’s village foster homes. We are happy that she is now in primary seven and this year she is going to do her primary leaving examinations. She a very intelligent and disciplined girl. She is looking forward to joining secondary but due to the fact that we do not have a secondary school, she needs to be taken in another school for higher studies so that she may not stop in primary. She needs a sponsor who will help her with school fees for higher studies. We believe that she will be so happy to join secondary.
HELP THE PARENTLESS CHILD
Many children in Africa are orphans of which some of them their parents died of HIV AIDS. Some of the children were just abandoned by their parents due to the fact that they couldn’t take care of them as a result of their poor financial status. This is why Vangrace Compassion Ministries comes up to support these poor innocent children so that they can also grow up in a family, receive education, medication, guidance, and above all love like any other child in a family. We work hard to make them feel that isn’t their fault to be in such a situation and to create hope in their hearts that they can make it in life.
SICK CHILDREN AT THE ORPHANAGE
Two of our kids at God’s village are so sick that is Nanjala Shaluwa and Kisakye Harriet. Nanjala Shaluwa was admitted yesterday as she said that she had stomach ache but we couldn’t really tell what is exactly is her problem. As time went on her condition was worsening and we rushed her to hospital for further medical shake up where she is admitted now. Kisakye Harriet was admitted today suffering from fever. A lot of medical care is needed for these kids and this calls for financial support for their well-being.
CHILDREN ENJOY READING STORY BOOKS
Children love reading since they believe that it is a source of knowledge. They read story books with interesting pictures with the help of the volunteers who explain to them the difficult words they come across. Through story reading, the children have been able to improve on their English language, love for art and writing, and filled their minds with knowledge. We are glad that the children have managed to finish all the story books and we are so thankful to the loving and caring people from the USA who donated to us these books in May 2014, they have real made a great impact on our children.
Surrender All To Jesus
Do you really want victory in your life? Have you tried all you can to become victorious and failed? The answer is surrendering all your worry to Christ. If you know in daily life what absolute surrender is, that is what you have to do to God. Living implies life. Life is an everyday experience. Offering ourselves to God is not something that should be contained every time. A living sacrifice is a sacrifice that is alive and continuous in action. God expects your surrender as you wait for his blessings. Who is God? He is the Fountain of life, the only Source of existence, power and goodness. Throughout the universe there is nothing good but what God works. God has created the sun, the moon, the stars, the flowers, the trees, and the grass. Are they not all absolutely surrendered to God? Do they not allow God to work in them just what He pleases? When God clothes the lily with its beauty, is it not yielded up, surrendered, given over to God as He works in it its beauty? And God's redeemed children, oh, can you think that God can do His work if there is only half or a part of them surrendered? God cannot do it. God is life, love, blessing, power, and infinite beauty, and God delights in communicating Himself to every child who is prepared to receive Him. But ah! This one lack of absolute surrender is just the thing that hinders God. And now He comes, and as God, He claims it.
You know that everything has to be given up to its special, definite object and service. I have a pen in my pocket, and that pen is absolutely surrendered to the one work of writing. That pen must be absolutely surrendered to my hand if I am to write properly with it. If another holds it partly, I cannot write properly. A coat is absolutely given up to me to cover my body. This building is entirely given up to religious services. And now, do you expect that in your immortal being, in the divine nature that you have received by regeneration, God can do His work, every day and every hour, unless you are entirely given up on Him? God cannot. The temple of Solomon was absolutely surrendered to God when it was dedicated to Him. And every one of us is a temple of God, in which God will dwell and work mightily on one condition-absolute surrender to Him. God claims it, God is worthy of it, and without it God cannot work His blessed work in us. Surrender your future, your past, your dreams, your worries, and everything so that he uses you in the way he wants to use you.
James 4:7 (KJV)
7 Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.
Is the Father to the Fatherless
Children experiencing God’s love on father’s day at God’s village orphanage. This has made them so happy realising how much God loves them. They are so happy to hear that even though they have no earthly fathers, there is a father who loved them before even they were formed in their mother’s wombs and that’s God. They are glad to know that despite of the hard life they have passed through; God loves and cares about them so much. Through their Daddy Pastor Ivan Ssewakambo they have been able to feel God’s love for them. “Waving to you earthly fathers that care, love and support African orphans and vulnerable children the orphans”
Matthew 19:14 (KJV)
14 But Jesus said, Suffer little children, and forbid them not, to come unto me: for of such is the kingdom of heaven.
Luke 18:16 (KJV)
16 But Jesus called them unto him, and said, suffer little children to come unto me, and forbid them not: for of such is the kingdom of God.
JOSEPH WASSWA EXPERIENCES SEVERE PAIN AFTER CUTTING HIMSELF ON THE KNEE.
Joseph Wasswa one of our children at Vangrace Compassion Orphanage got an accident as he was chopping firewood using a panga. In the processing of chopping, he cut himself on the knee and the wound is deeper, this is making him experience a lot of pain. We are afraid that he may get tetanus because the wound is becoming deeper; however we are still trying our best to see that we provide all the medication he needs though the expenses are too much.
ENTERTAINMENT OF THE AFRICAN CHILD-GOD’S VILLAGE
Though African child’s day was held yesterday, this didn’t stop kids at God’s village to have their celebrations today as a way of having fun and also remembering that they are part of African child regardless of their vulnerability. Seeing children having their entertainment brings much pleasure to us. It’s one the signs that shows that they are happy and what amazes is that they have used the little resources they have like drums to make their entertainment so colorfully. It’s also another way of how kids promote their talents.
He Cares For All of His Creation
Tomorrow is not something that you are so sure of due to your present situation. You may have no hope for having a successful life in this world but remember there is the one who knew you before you were born and cares about you. The one who brought back life to the dry bones can still bring back hope in your life. Dedicate all your worries and burdens unto him and trust in him for a breakthrough. His love endures forever and ever and he can never leave you alone once you entrust him with your life.
Romans 8:38-39 (KJV) '38 For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come,
39 Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
He Looks At a Heart of True Worship
You may struggle with feeling good about yourself. The best remedy for morning blues is an old-fashioned time of worship and praise for the mighty God you serve. Rejoice in the Lord with song or dance will drive the rest of your day positively. A song of worship deep from your heart can turn around everything that has been negative to positive, and impossibilities to possibilities. As you worship him believe that he is pleased by your true worship and you will never be left alone.
Psalm 103:1 (KJV) ' 103 Bless the Lord, O my soul: and all that is within me bless his holy name.'
Hebrews 13:15 (KJV) '15 By him therefore let us offer the sacrifice of praise to God continually, that is, the fruit of our lips giving thanks to his name.'
Reflect Christ’s Love in All You Do
The moment you start your day, you may be immediately assaulted by foul language and vulgarity. Yet when you show up…God shows up. Do not react in a way that will shame Christ. This is because what we the believers do reflects Christ in our hearts and that is why we have to show the light of Christ in us to the world through our deeds. Let the light of Christ shine through your words, actions, and attitude in the darkness of unbelief.
Matthew 5:16 (KJV) '16 Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.'
We Can Do All Things Through Him Who Gives Us Strength
You feel weak and without the strength to keep pushing yourself. Rely on God’s great power and ability to get you going. Pray and receive His strength to make it through the day. There times in your life where you’re challenged, where nothing seems to be going right, where tragedy strikes and you’re left to go through it alone, in reality you’re not alone if you put all you trust in God. In some cases, being strong is simply about being able to persevere through extreme adversity. It can be something horrific like the tragic loss of a loved one, or something difficult. It can also be emotional trauma, like recovering from a difficult situation. These experiences leave us feeling weak and hopeless. But that’s no reason to stay down for long. No matter what you’re going through in life, other people just like you have gone through the same or worse and come out stronger on the other side. In such situations you need to be strong and never give up.
“Sometimes you don’t realize your own strength until you come face to face with your greatest weakness.”– Susan Gale
There is no too difficult situation that we can’t get out of if we just put our trust in the almighty God.
Psalm 28:7 (KJV) '7 The Lord is my strength and my shield; my heart trusted in him, and I am helped: therefore my heart greatly rejoiceth; and with my song will I praise him.'
Philippians 4:13 (KJV) '13 I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.'
He Heals the Broken Hearts and Brings Everlasting Joy
Put your trust in God for he will never disappoint us like the way people may do. If you have ever been disappointed by a son of man, then put your trust in God. Expect nothing from man because expectation when not fulfilled leads to a broken heart but when you get something without expecting, it gives pleasure. Remember God can do wonders with a broken heart if you give Him all the pieces of ‘your broken heart’ because he makes a master piece out of your broken pieces. He can help you go through everything if you make him number one in your life. In the time of greatest need when all hope is gone there is a ray of hope and that is the risen Christ. He will always fight our battles and lift us above.
Psalm 147:3 (KJV) 'He healeth the broken in heart, and bindeth up their wounds.'
Matthew 11:28 (KJV) 'come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.'
