The Community Food Supply Program (CFSP) is a program formed to combat hunger, which afflicts one out of every seven people in Uganda.
In emergencies, we deliver food to save the lives of victims of war mostly the refugees, those that are on streets of Uganda mostly kids & mothers and those that are in extreme poverty. We use this food to help communities and vulnerable people to rebuild their shattered lives.
The aim of our community food supply program is to have communities in which every man, woman and child has access at all times to the food needed for an active and healthy life. Without food, there can be no sustainable peace, no health and no development.
Matthew 25:35 βFor I was hungry and you gave me food, I was thirsty and you gave me drink, I was a stranger and you welcomed meβ
We also help to increase the self reliance of communities to meet their own food needs. We promote comprehensive responses to local food access, farm and nutrition issues.
Our community Food Supply Program relies entirely on voluntary contributions from our local communities to run its humanitarian and development programs. Contributions are made mainly as food or the basic items necessary to grow, store and cook food. None of the people who ate food could have done so without the generosity of our local communities and some few sponsors.
For just $40 we can provide a supplemental food bags filled with rice, beans, maize flour, and other staples.
