Psalms 145:8-11 ‘8 The LORD is gracious, and full of compassion; slow to anger, and of great mercy. 9 The LORD is good to all: and his tender mercies are over all his works. 10 All thy works shall praise thee, O LORD; and thy saints shall bless thee. 11 They shall speak of the glory of thy kingdom and talk of thy power;
Many sermons have been preached about Grace, Faith, Heaven, and God’s Love. How many Sermons have you heard about God’s Mercy? God’s Mercy is one of the Least Understood Facets of God’s Characters. Mercy is an Attribute of God’s Nature that has often been scoffed At by Unbelievers and by Carnal Christians. Mercy is a Powerful Force that Can & Should be Developed & Utilized by All Believers.
WHAT IS MERCY? Dictionary: “Kindness in Excess of what may be expected or demanded by Fairness; a Disposition to Forgive; Forbearance and Compassion.” Bible Dictionary: “The Outward Manifestation of Compassion.” God’s Mercy is a Multifaceted Aspect of His Nature and Will for All Mankind that is designed for One Purpose: To Help Those in Need. Mercy is Compassion to those in Trouble, even if the Trouble is of their own making, or their own fault.
One preacher said this concerning the difference between Grace and Mercy: “God’s Grace gives us What we Do not Deserve, While God’s Mercy Does Not Give us What we Do Deserve.’
Titus 3:4-7 ‘But after that the kindness and love of God our Savior toward man appeared, 5 Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost; 6 Which he shed on us abundantly through Jesus Christ our Savior; 7 That being justified by his grace, we should be made heirs according to the hope of eternal life.
It is by God’s Mercy that we are Saved, Forgiven, and Justified. It is by God’s Mercy that we are Allowed to Receive that which we Do Not Deserve and Did Not Earn. We Deserved Destruction and Separation From God But His Mercy Stepped In. Mercy Would Not Give us What we Deserved, then Grace Gave us What we Did Not Earn.
Mercy is a Vital Element in our Walk of Faith.
As an Attribute of God’s Character, it should characterize the Life of Every Christian, Especially You … and Me!!!
If you Want God to Deal with You on the Basis of Mercy ….
