Bringing Hope to the Hopeless.

Isaiah 55:1
Ho, every one that thirsteth, come ye to the waters, and he that hath no money; come ye, buy, and eat; yea, come, buy wine and milk without money and without price.

When we begin to get thirsty deep down in our heart and soul, we find ourselves really hungry and thirsty for the things of God. But before we can come to that point and that place, we've got to find God. We must have Him in our heart and life. Then we can satisfy our soul down deep within.

Just to look at some people, you might think they don't need anything, that they don't have any great need in their life — yet deep within there is a thirst in their soul, and they don't know what to drink to satisfy that thirst. They don't know what they need.

There's where our job comes in. We have something to offer that will quench their thirst — and it's without price. It's not something they can't afford to have.

Jesus said, Come and buy wine and milk without money and without price. You can't buy God's salvation. It's a free gift, and it always has been a free gift.

Ephesians 2:8,9
For by grace are you saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: not of works, lest any man should boast.

God, in His love and grace, gives salvation, merely by our accepting and believing in His Son Jesus Christ and the work that was done at Calvary.

Isaiah 55:2
Wherefore do ye spend money for that which is not bread? and your labour for that which satisfieth not? hearken diligently unto Me, and eat ye that which is good, and let your soul delight itself in fatness.

These verses ought to capture our attention, helping us to see that God knows what is needed in each of our lives; and if we hearken unto God, we will eat that which is really good and satisfying to our soul.

SURE MERCIES

Isaiah 55:3
Incline your ear, and come unto Me: hear, and your soul shall live; and I will make an everlasting covenant with you, even the sure mercies of David.

"Open your heart. Incline your ear, and listen to what I'm telling you! Come to Me, and your soul shall find life. Your soul shall live. Your soul shall have eternal life."

We can see from this Scripture that God's concern for man is that man would not just live, not just exist.

I'll give you even the sure mercies of David. To understand the sure mercies of David, take time to exam his life. Bear in mind that there is no place recorded where God did not have mercy upon David, not one place where God didn't show mercy when David was in trouble or in need.

Look at David at that particular time when he took the biggest fall he would ever take. He fell from grace. He surely failed. He was guilty of seeing that a precious life was taken away. He took another man's wife and had the man killed in an attempt to cover up his sin, but he humbled himself and sought God to forgive him and deliver him (see Psalm 51). And God heard David. God heard his repentance. And when God was merciful to David, he was able to rise up and go on with his life.

God said He would make an everlasting covenant with us: even the sure mercies of David.

We have God, and by His grace and mercy, surely, He will lift us up. If we're having trouble, we can turn to Him, and He'll be there to help; He'll be there to extend His mercy.

If any man ever went through a trial, David surely did! The trial of getting over this thing in David's life! What a trial it was to his heart and soul!

We should thank God that we can incline our ear and come to Him and hear, that our souls should live. I will make an everlasting covenant with you, even the sure mercies of David.

Now, God's invitation unto salvation is to anyone who will come and turn to Him.
