Volunteer of the Month: August - Samuel

Samuel's journey is one of remarkable resilience and transformation. Surviving the harrowing experiences of the Rwandan genocide, he was blessed to find a loving and nurturing home with Papa Ivan and Mama Prossy in Uganda. It is here, under their care and guidance, that Samuel has not only healed but thrived, emerging as a skilled young man with a passion for serving others.

Papa Ivan's mentorship has been instrumental in Samuel's development. Through hands-on learning in carpentry, building, and various other skills, Samuel has honed his talents, becoming an integral part of our community's growth. Together, they have successfully completed numerous projects, including the construction of log houses and the innovative soil interlocking toilet. These projects are not just buildings; they are a testament to Samuel's hard work and the tangible difference he is making in our community.

Today, we are honored to recognize Samuel's spirit of volunteer-ship in ministry. Despite the challenges he has faced, Samuel continues to serve with a heart full of love and dedication. His contributions go beyond the physical work—he embodies the essence of being a servant of God, bringing hope, and joy to those around him.

As we celebrate Samuel as our Volunteer of the Month for August, let us all join together in acknowledging the incredible impact he has made. Samuel is truly a blessed servant of God, and his spirit continues to shine brightly in all that he does. May we all be inspired by his example, striving to be the hands and feet of our Lord Jesus Christ, serving His children with unwavering love and commitment.

Congratulations, Samuel! We are proud to have you as part of our community, and we pray that your journey of service continues to inspire and uplift those around you.

Volunteer of the JUNE Month: Celebrating Ronald Aryagasha

In the heart of every thriving organization lies the unwavering dedication of volunteers who serve selflessly and passionately. This June, Vangrace Compassion Ministries proudly recognizes Ronald Aryagasha as our Volunteer of the Month. Ronald embodies the spirit of volunteerism, transforming challenges into a seamless journey of service and compassion.

Meet Ronald Aryagasha

The essence of volunteerism isn’t in the ease of the task but in the heart of the individual. Ronald is a shining example of this truth. His demeanor makes it appear effortlessly simple to be a volunteer, a testament to his genuine love and dedication towards serving others. His significant contributions at our beloved home, “God’s Village,” and at Vangrace Academy, have made a remarkable difference, especially to the lives of the orphans, once street children, vulnerable children, and those once affected by war, whom he teaches in the 5th and 7th grades.

Ronald's journey with us began in 2008, and since then, he has been an indomitable pillar of strength and inspiration. His decision to become a volunteer was rooted in a profound commitment to serving the Lord by helping His children. This commitment is evident in every task he undertakes. See past Photo Below:

A Teacher with a Heart

Ronald’s teaching extends beyond academic lessons. As a volunteer teacher for our 5th, 6th, and 7th-grade classes, he imparts knowledge, hope, and a vision of a brighter future for unprivileged children. His approach to education is not merely about fulfilling a role but creating an environment where these children feel valued and empowered.

Ronald once shared, "I yearn to do it to the best of my ability because all I want is to see unprivileged children’s future brilliant and to make sure they have a better tomorrow." This statement encapsulates his pure intention and the selfless drive that motivates him daily.

A Man of Many Talents

Beyond the classroom, Ronald is a beacon of hard work in all the physical tasks around God’s Village. Whether it’s maintaining the grounds, helping with construction, or participating in community projects, Ronald’s hands-on approach underscores his versatility and willingness to help wherever needed. His contributions ensure that our facilities remain a safe and nurturing environment for everyone here.

A Source of Inspiration

Observing Ronald’s dedication often inspires a reflective moment for many of us. It’s a reminder of the impact one individual can make when driven by love and faith. Pastor Ivan Ssewankambo expresses this sentiment beautifully, stating, "Sometimes I ask myself whether such volunteers still exist, and indeed they are still there. Looking at Ronald committed to serve always makes me to make a prayer asking God to bless him with all the heavenly blessings in whatever he does because he is always seen doing everything out of love."

A Heartfelt Thank You

As we recognize Ronald Aryagasha as our Volunteer of the Month, we extend our deepest gratitude for his tireless efforts. Ronald, your unwavering commitment and heartfelt service make a profound difference in the lives of many. We join Pastor Ivan Ssewankambo in saying, "Maximum appreciation dear Aryagasha Ronald for being such a wonderful volunteer, and I pray that the living God reward you above, abundantly, and exceedingly."

Ronald’s story reminds us all of the power of love and dedication in making a lasting impact. His journey and service continue to be a source of encouragement and a beacon of hope within Vangrace Compassion Ministries. Thank you, Ronald, for your incredible contributions, and may your efforts be blessed tenfold.

Celebrating Our Sponsor of the Month.

We are excited to have Chris as our sponsor of the month of September. Join us as we celebrate him and appreciate him for his kindness, love, caring and support towards our ministry’s programs and activities.

Chris is one of our top active sponsors who take part in every event through donation whenever there’s a call to give. He also sponsors one of our kids “Kigenyi Patrick” monthly. So it is such a pleasure to have him as our sponsor of the month.

INTERVIEW with CHRIS via FACEBOOK.

1.  Chris you are one of our top active sponsors that we have currently. But someone out there would like to know who Chris is.

~My name is Christoph Eid. I was born in Lebanon but was lucky to move to Australia when I was a child due to the civil war in Lebanon~

2. How old are you and what do you do currently for a living?

~I am 30 years old now, single living with my mother and older brother and I currently working at a cafe/pizza shop~

3. What inspired you to come up with a plan of helping Vangrace Compassion Ministries and how does it feel to help those that are in desperate need?

~I had been friends with Ivan on Facebook for a little and would always see his posts about the orphanage, the smiles on the children at the orphanage would always put a smile on my face but when I would see how much they were struggling I would feel bad so I decided to sponsor a child and help the orphanage when I ever I can. The $23 US I spend a month to sponsor Patrick is sure worth it~

4. You've been sponsoring Patrick one of the kids from Vangrace Compassion Ministries for a long time , what makes you to continue donating again and again?

~Since I have started sponsoring Patrick, Ivan has kept me updated with photos, videos and even a letter from Patrick! A price can't be put on this~

5.  What is the secret behind sponsoring a needy child from Africa?

~Well, the secret is not all that big, but since giving and helping those that are in need is part of me, I just find my self doing it with ease and happiness. Another thing sponsoring a needy child from Africa is another way of giving what I have to God as Mathew 19:14 says 'But Jesus said, Suffer little children, and forbid them not, to come unto me: for of such is the kingdom of heaven.'

Do you also want to help or support those that are in need? Vangrace Compassion Ministries is the way to go. Join us as we serve many people that are in need today.
