Sometimes ministry begins with one courageous step — a step taken in faith, across miles, into a place of purpose.
This month, we are honoured to recognise Anguria George as our Volunteer of the Month at Vangrace Academy & God’s Village. George comes all the way from Mbale District in eastern Uganda — roughly 226–230 km (≈140–143 miles) from our home in Mpigi District. Geodatos+2Around the World 360+2 Despite the distance, George answered the call to serve children in need and brought his gifts to our ministry.
From Mbale to God’s Village
George left his familiar surroundings in Mbale and journeyed to our ministry family because he believed in the vision of “Rescue. Nurture. Raise.” at God’s Village. At Vangrace Academy — more than just a school, it’s the place where our rescued children are nurtured, educated, and raised with dignity, so they too can dream, learn, and become everything God designed them to be — George serves as both caregiver and science teacher, a dual role that requires heart and hands.
He steps into the classroom and into the children’s lives with equal care. He doesn’t just teach formulas or facts; he invests in young hearts and minds.
Teaching Science. Embracing Care. Transforming Lives.
In his role as science educator, George brings discovery and wonder into everyday learning — helping children ask questions like “Why?” and “What if?” and guiding them toward answers. But his service exceeds academics. As a caregiver, he is present for the children’s needs: helping them feel safe, loved and seen.
Whether it’s explaining a scientific principle or giving a comforting word to a child unsure of their place — George embodies the blend of knowledge and compassion our ministry holds dear.
Why George’s Service Matters
Distance travelled & sacrifice made: Coming from Mbale to Mpigi is not just a physical move — it is a heart-commitment.
Dual ministry approach: George doesn’t keep his role limited to the classroom. He engages in caregiving, bringing holistic support to our children.
Kingdom-minded mission: His contribution aligns with our enduring call at God’s Village to raise children who will become everything God designed them to be.
A Word of Gratitude & Encouragement
George, we celebrate you. Your yes is rare. Your dedication is deeply meaningful. Because of you, our rescued children are not just learning science — they are growing in confidence, purpose, and hope.
On behalf of the entire God’s Village family, we say: thank you. Keep going. Your work matters. Others will rise, inspired by the standard you’ve set.
In this Season of service — wave by wave — may the Lord empower you, sustain you, and honour the gift you are to our ministry and to the children.
You are making a difference. And because of you, the future is brighter.
