Some stories begin where hope seems impossible.
Geoffrey’s life began in vulnerability. At just seven months old, he was found abandoned near a garbage pit—left without protection, voice, or certainty of survival. His life could have ended before it truly began.
But God had another plan.
During child protection efforts in the community, Geoffrey was rescued and received into care. One of the earliest moments we remember is seeing him held in the arms of Mama Prossy Ssewankambo—a simple image, yet one that marked the turning point from abandonment to belonging.
Those early days were not easy. They carried the weight of neglect that many children face silently. Yet surrounded by consistent love, prayer, nourishment, and safety, Geoffrey began to change.
He grew stronger.
He learned to trust.
He learned to smile again.
Today, as Geoffrey prepares to turn 10 years old on February 18, he is healthy, joyful, and full of life. He goes to school, plays freely, and is being raised with dignity and purpose at God’s Village.
Looking at him now, it is hard to imagine how his story began—but that is the power of love in action.
Geoffrey’s life reflects the heart of our mission:
Rescue. Nurture. Raise.
He is living proof that when a child is given love, safety, and faith, the future can be rewritten.
What an awesome God we serve—the Father of the fatherless—who turns abandoned beginnings into hopeful tomorrows.
