✨ A 9-Hour Journey of Love: Deborah’s Walk of Faith to Serve God’s Children ✨

In the quiet village of Abola South, nestled deep in Eastern Uganda’s Kalaki District, a young woman felt the unmistakable stirring of God’s voice. It wasn’t a loud command or a dramatic sign—it was a whisper in her spirit, a divine nudge calling her into something greater than herself. Her name is Apako Deborah, and her response to that call would lead her on a journey that stretched not just across 432 kilometers of rugged roads—but straight into the heart of God’s mission.

It would take nearly 9 hours by road to reach her destination—‘God’s Village’, the home and hope center of Vangrace Compassion Ministries. But Deborah wasn’t counting miles. She was following purpose.

She left behind her personal ambitions, comfort zones, and familiar faces. With nothing but faith in her heart and compassion in her hands, she traveled hundreds of kilometers—not for a paycheck, not for applause, but to pour her life into the most tender and vulnerable among us: orphaned, abandoned, and hurting children.

💛 A Teacher. A Caregiver. A Mother in Ministry.

At Vangrace Academy, Deborah doesn’t just teach—she disciples. Her blackboard may be covered in syllables and chalk, but her classroom is filled with something far more powerful: unwavering love. Every lesson she teaches is laced with patience. Every child she tends to is seen, known, and cherished.

In a world where many seek to climb higher, Deborah chose to kneel lower—to the level of a child. To look them in the eye and remind them that they matter. That they are smart. That they are loved.

And that God has not forgotten them.

🌍 From Tragedy to Triumph: A Testament of Hope

Many of the children she serves have walked through unthinkable stories—stories of abandonment, grief, war, and survival. But when Deborah steps into their lives, something shifts. Healing begins. Smiles return. Futures take shape. She becomes more than a teacher—she becomes proof that God sends help in human form.

Her journey is a living testimony that when we say yes to God, miracles happen—not just to us, but through us.

🙌 A Story That Calls Us Deeper

We celebrate Deborah today as our Volunteer of the Month—but more than that, we honor the spirit of every unseen servant who quietly, faithfully carries the Kingdom of God into the places where it’s needed most.

Her story reminds us that love travels far. That service is sacred. And that when we give our lives for others, we become the hands and feet of Jesus on this earth.

So today, pause and reflect on this story of courage, obedience, and deep compassion. Pray for Deborah. Pray for the children she’s nurturing. And ask God how He might want to move through you, too.
